We wrapped little Salvage in a paper towel, and I dug a spot for him in our backyard, deep in the frozen earth, where the soil is still moist and brown as it eagerly awaits for spring to come.

His body is now buried beneath our beautiful little Japanese pine. And his soul flies free. So this little chapter of our lives comes to a close.
Sleep tight, little fish. You're safe now. Good night.
